Toddler Rules.

When Theo was younger we bought him a t-shirt. On the front was a list of toddler rules.  We used to laugh as we read them, as generally as a toddler, unwittingly Theo lived by those toddler rules.

This got me thinking about how his rules have changed as he got older.  He is 4 now.  He is still very young but he is our thinks he is the boss of all he surveys.  So I thought I’d write a new set of toddler rules according to a four-year-old Theo.

Let me know if you have you found your Toddler living by any of these rules.

Rule 1.  He is the boss of everything and everybody.

Rule 2. If Theo says it, you do it.

Rule 3. Theo knows everything.  Do not question anything because you will be wrong!

Rule 4. We can play BUT (and I cannot express how important this rule is) you cannot win!!

Rule 5. Theo will teach you about the world and the universe and you must repeat exactly as he says it.  There can be no deviation from even the pronunciation of the words he uses.

Rule 6.  Theo will invent games for you to play but he will not provide any equipment. You are the equipment, you may be a swing, slide or a climbing frame.

Rule 7. Theo will ask you to  take photos and videos of him.  He will watch them back and have the last say on whether it is good enough or not.  It may need to be deleted and re-filmed.

Rule 8. You will watch what Theo wants when he wants to watch it.

Rule 9. You will read stories on demand.

Rule 10.  Theo will love a certain food today but not tomorrow,  so do not try to feed him the same thing two days in a row.

These are some of Theo’s  current rules he would love us all to live by.  It’s just a good job we realise we are the adults and do not let him run all of our lives all of the time.  We do give in to him on some rules as they are just hysterical to watch what happens when we let him be boss.  The fun we had writing this post just reminiscing on all of the situations we found ourselves in while these rules were being realised just goes to prove how much fun Theo brings to all of our lives.

Another reason I love being me.

Thanks for reading and come again for more stories from The Go To Girls Blog xxx
