It has not stopped raining here in Hull for several days. This is not great but it has not stopped the council putting up the Christmas tree in the town center.
I don’t know about you but here at The Go To Girls Blog, we go all out at Christmas. We are very lucky to have close family and friends. Usually, we would go and watch the town lights turned on but this year we did not go. (I was sick with a terrible bout of migraine all over my face)
Anyway, I am sure it looks amazing and we will get to see it when we go late night shopping in the next few weeks.
This has kind of become a Christmas time tradition for us as we go straight after work and have something to eat and a drink while we are there. We would love to hear of any family traditions you and your family have. Please comment below.

A few years ago now I just stopped doing Christmas and I haven’t lost out on anything, it’s so peaceful. I look back at Christmas past with a smile, but that I am not going back to the stress filled days of old. The trees are going up in the towns here in Wales, but none will be sacrificed in this home.
I think everyone should celebrate (or not) in their own way as long as it makes you happy have a lovely time wherever and whatever you do! xx
Our village tree arrived this week and the lights are going up on the lampposts, it’s always so pretty.
Hope the rain stops for you soon, we haven’t had it anywhere near as bad in Cheshire.
thanks i must say it does always make me smile when i see the xmas lights xx
Now that my kids are grown, we no longer do gifts. But, I am living in Germany, so we spend our weekends visiting Christmas Markets!! I am so happy for this new tradition.
That sound amazing i bet the peace and quiet is amazing x
